Wrote: HiI am seeking reviews on the above product. Its a 40 gallon or 19 l/day.covers 2000sq.ftIts on sale on Monday, September 12th.ThanksI think its excellent. The warranty I believe is 2 years on everything and 5 years on the compressor.plus I think you have 90 day money back guarantee from RONAI would buy the biggest one you can afford. Some models have auto start/stop but no clock, I don't know how that works. Also, it doesn't include a garden hose if bypassing the bucket.I think you should wait and maybe purchase it next spring when it goes on sale because you will actually use it alot during those 90 days April, May, June, and if you don't like it, just return it to RONA.

As far as I am concerned that is a huge design oversight. Those full buckets are not light and it is not that simple emptying it if it is full. They have 2 different models on their website. Do you know which one is on sale? For your reference I bought a Forest Air (model 13-06034) four summers ago and it came with a folding handle inside the container.

When folded down the handle can be mistaken for something else so I can see how it can be overlooked by the employee. The model I have looks exactly like the one on their website so nothing has changed. The only difference is the color and I highly doubt the manufacturer would skimp out on the handle.Overall I'm pretty happy with this unit.

After 4 summers of heavy usage the unit still runs smooth like day 1. Wrote: They have 2 different models on their website. Do you know which one is on sale? For your reference I bought a Forest Air (model 13-06034) four summers ago and it came with a folding handle inside the container.

Wrote: HiI am seeking reviews on the above product. Its a 40 gallon or 19 l/day.covers 2000sq.ftIts on sale on Monday, September 12th.ThanksI've seen this one before - it's a pretty basic unit but certainly worth the sale price. BTW, it's capacity is 4 gallons/day or 40 pints which could struggle to keep a 1000 sq ft basement at 50% humidity, depending on conditions (such as age of house, air flow in basement, whether or not you have central a/c, the degree to which you keep windows open in humid weather, etc.).

IOW, if you have damp conditions in your basement (assuming this is where you need this unit), this unit could be running 24/7 - which is okay unless the basement is used as a living space. Also, I don't believe this model has freeze-up prevention - a problem if you need to run it in the cooler months of Spring and Fall. I did find some condensationin the present 3rd room.hence the need for a dehumidifier. Yes, i do have central a/c.so it seems that this unit mightnot work due to freeze-up conditions in the cooler months?ThanksIssy. Bought one yesterday and already filled up the bucket twice over night, simple but it works in my basement. Still going since I want to drop humidity down from 65% RH to 50%RH to avoid growing mold.Everything is good (the level switch stops unit upon full) except the manual is worse than expected plus I could not figure out how to adjust RH setting on panel (again, could be for other models listed on manual).Rated power up to 500W I guess it does not have the 'powerful' heater which I don't need it anyways sine I can not 'afford' 1200W:-).
